How do you find a good tradesperson?. It’s all very well if you know a plumber or an accountant, but if you don’t know one, and your neighbours and friends don’t either, then you’ll be browsing the small adds and hoping you don’t make a mistake.

Well, we’ve been there and done that, and picked a few baduns along the way. So we invented tadpoll because we thought it would be good if you could read other people’s comments about traders they have used.

So, how do you use tadpoll? You can search for a business or trader by typing in a trade name (something like ‘gardener’ will do it), then put in your town or postcode and click search. You’ll find a list of traders, and some ratings from other customers of theirs. You can search for traders without logging in, but if you want to see comments and ratings you will need to register. That’s very quick to do – and once you’re a member you can add traders yourself and share your experiences with other members.
